Nitro Horizon

Nitro Horizon is easily my favorite racer on the phone right now. It leans full arcade: boost pads, exaggerated drifts, and tracks that twist through neon cities and mountain passes. There's no fiddling with tire pressure here, just pure speed.

You can steer by tilting the device or with on-screen buttons, and both feel responsive. Tilt won me over after a couple of races because leaning into a corner just feels right. The drift mechanic is forgiving enough for beginners but has a skill ceiling for people chasing better lap times.

The car roster is varied without being bloated, and unlocking new ones comes at a fair pace. My only gripe is that a few later tracks reuse scenery, but at the speeds you're going, you barely notice.
